Open registration to the public
Check your pre-flight list and flip the switch.
Open registration
Opening registration takes a click or two on the event's Overview page, but the dozen things you check before that are what make the launch go smoothly. Run this checklist.
Pre-flight checklist
- Event details: name, dates, venue, time zone all correct
- Branding: logo, colors, hero photo, social links filled
- Stripe: connected and in live mode, charges + payouts enabled
- Sports: each sport has correct date, roster limit, custom questions
- Divisions: each has correct age bracket and capacity
- Pricing tiers: at least one active tier with quantity or date window
- Refund policy: matches what you told players publicly
- Waiver text: updated for this year and year in the footer
- FAQ page: top five things players ask you every year
- How to get there: map pin dropped, parking described
Flip the switch
On the event's Overview page, click Publish at the top if the event is still a draft. Then, under Page status, make sure Under construction is off and click Save page settings. The public signup flow becomes live immediately — no deploy, no cache delay. Switching Under construction off also emails the people who signed up on the coming-soon page, confirmed their address and have not unsubscribed, to say registration is open, as long as the platform's email sending is set up. Registration opens whether or not those emails go out.
Announce it
Use Send announcements to fire an email to your mailing list. Keep it short: what, when, where, a big button that links to the registration URL, and a sentence about the early-bird deadline.
Watch the first hour
Keep the admin dashboard open for the first hour. You're watching for:
- Signups going through — pick one and look at the registrant detail page to confirm the waiver PDF is present, the team access code is visible, and the correct tier was applied
- Abandoned carts — a few is normal. A flood usually means something is broken on the cart page
- Stripe webhooks — the Finance page shows the last few transactions; if it's empty after a few minutes, Stripe may not be firing webhooks and you should check secrets
If something is wrong
Switch Under construction on (under Page status on the event's Overview page) and click Save page settings. New registrations stop at once and visitors see the coming-soon page instead of the event's pages; existing registrations are not touched. Fix the issue, then switch it off again. People who were already emailed that registration is open are not emailed a second time.
