Enable notifications
Good Times sends push notifications for the things you actually care about: your next game starting, a schedule change, a new announcement, a chat message from your team. No marketing, no digest, no nonsense.
On Android / Chrome / Firefox desktop
- Open your event site and sign in.
- Open your profile from the header.
- Click Enable notifications. Your browser will ask for permission — click Allow.
- That's it. Notifications will now show on your lock screen.
On iOS / Safari
Apple requires you to install the site as a PWA before push notifications work. This isn't a Good Times quirk — it's an Apple platform rule.
- Open the event site in Safari (not Chrome on iPhone — Chrome on iPhone uses the same engine but doesn't get full PWA features).
- Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add.
- Close Safari and open the event site from the new home screen icon.
- Sign in and go to your profile.
- Tap Enable notifications. iOS will ask for permission — tap Allow.
If you skip step 3, enabling notifications will show a message asking you to install as a PWA first.
What you'll get notified about
- Game starting — 15 minutes before your next scheduled game
- Score confirmation — when your opponent reports a score you need to confirm
- Chat message — new team chat messages (toggle off if your team is noisy)
- Announcement — when the organizer pins something important
- Schedule change — if a game of yours is moved
Turning it off
Same place: profile -> Disable notifications. Or go to your browser / OS settings and revoke the permission for the site.
