Register for an event
A walk-through of the ten-step signup flow from cart to confirmation.
Register for an event
The Good Times registration flow is ten steps, but only one screen at a time and most steps take under thirty seconds. Here's what each screen is for.
1. Choose your sport
Pick the sport you want to play. You can register for multiple sports in a single checkout — just come back to step 1 after the summary page.
2. Choose your division
Divisions are brackets within a sport (Fun, Try-Hard, age brackets). If a division is Sold Out the only button will be Join Waitlist.
3. Team setup
- Individual sports (5k, kids run): skipped.
- Team sports: pick Create a new team (if you're the captain) or Join an existing team (if a captain gave you an access code).
- Hat tournaments: the system assigns you to a team. You can enter "baggage emails" to stay grouped with friends.
4. Contact info
Your name, email, phone, date of birth, address, and emergency contact. All required. If you're under 18, the waiver step will ask for a parent's signature.
5. Custom questions
T-shirt size, how you heard about the event, and any sport-specific questions (experience level, position, etc.). Be honest on experience level — organizers use it to balance hat teams.
6. Team invitations
Only captains see this. Skip if you're not a captain, or bulk-paste emails of teammates. See Invite your team.
7. Electronic waiver
Read the waiver and check I agree, then type your full legal name. Under 18? A parent or guardian signs alongside you. The signed PDF is saved to the event's records.
8. Add-ons and donations
Merch, meal tickets, parking, and an optional donation. All optional.
9. Order summary and checkout
Review your line items, apply a coupon code if you have one, pick a payment plan if the event offers one, and click Check out. You'll land on Stripe's hosted checkout page. Card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay all work.
10. Confirmation
Stripe redirects you back to a confirmation page with:
- A big green check and a receipt
- Your access code (save this! it's how you'll check in and how your teammates join your team if you created one)
- A link to your captain or player portal
- A button to register for another sport in the same cart
You'll also get an email with the same info and a PDF waiver attached.
Came back later and it didn't work?
If you left the page open for more than 30 minutes before checking out, your cart expired and any held seats returned to the pool. Start over — your data is not lost because the flow re-fills from your email.
